Northwick Park Academy Trust consists of three schools located on Canvey Island in Essex.

Northwick Park Primary school became an academy in December 2014. Leigh Beck Infant School joined the trust as a sponsored academy in March 2015. In September 2022, William Read Primary Academy became the third member of the Northwick Park Trust. Information about the individual schools can be accessed by using the links above.

All schools sit at the heart of their communities and strive to provide an excellent standard of education.

Our Vision Statement:

Northwick Park Academy Trust’s vision is to develop well-rounded, confident, creative, responsible, resilient pupils who aspire to succeed. We respect the individual needs of our pupils and provide a caring and creative environment that empowers excellent social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. The mental and physical wellbeing of all members of the school community sits at the heart of everything we do.

The Trust’s Aims are:

  • To value and recognise the individuality and achievement of every member of our school family

  • To equip children with the resilience and perseverance to become creative and independent thinkers and learners for life in an ever-changing world
  • To provide the full breadth of the National Curriculum underpinned by strong skills in English, mathematics, science and computing
  • To place a high emphasis on wellbeing throughout the school community, and throughout the curriculum, in order to support good mental health
  • To develop pupils’ self-awareness, self-confidence and self-esteem to enable pupils to play an active part in school life and be valued and valuable members of their communities
